The material used to make the purple clay teapot is purple clay mineral soil, which is composed of three basic clays: purple clay, green clay and red clay, collectively referred to as purple clay. Because it is produced in Yixing, Jiangsu, it is also called Yixing Zisha. Good tea lovers believe that using a purple clay teapot to make tea will have a long and mellow tea taste. The purple clay teapot can absorb the tea flavor due to its special double pore structure. Therefore, the longer the teapot is used, the more fragrant and mellow the tea will be.
